Hi sweeties! I've received a lot of questions about the linen I use to stitch my patterns, so I've decided to produce it! This is my linen, I've called it OLD SALEM. It's a 30 ct. 50x45 cm. € 13.00.

Abigail is a doll with a body re-built minutely and an ancient dress in American colonial style: bodice, skirt, underpants and a belt, all separately sewn.

Arms and legs can be easily fold and it is really simple to construct it. The chart contains instructions and patterns for the creation.

She was an old, rich, wise woman... She survived and she dead in 1595, on the 2nd of January. The story of the Triora Witches Trials is full of violence... Franchetta is famous because she has never admitted to be a witch, under torture she laughs... and she says: I grit my teeth...and they say I laugh! She was proud and strong. In those ancient days she was an example of intelligence and dignity ...

ITALIAN: Buongiorno amiche mie, pronte ad iniziare un nuovo anno di crocette? Io ho deciso di inaugurare quest'anno con uno schema dedicato ai processi per stregoneria che si tennero a Triora, in Liguria, dal 1587. Una delle "streghe" più potenti e vessate su Franchetta Borelli, la cui storia potete leggere qui (CLIK). Fu lei a pronunciare la frase che leggete nello schema, fu lei che invece di piangere davanti ai suoi carnefici rise. Li schernì. E sopravvisse, per morire vecchia e in pace il 2 gennaio del 1595. Lo schema contiene la frase sia in inglese che in italiano, così potrete decidere come ricamarla autonomamente. Buon anno, che sia pieno di crocette e di magia :-)

Trovo che il cestino sia particolarmente comodo.... che ne dite?

SUl numero 87, quello attualmente in vendita, troverete tanti miei progetti: un set da cucito, che potete ammirare qui sulla copertina, e poi cuscini natalizi e decorazioni monocromatiche per il vostro albero :-). Spero che vi piacciano! Io mi sono divertita molto a disegnare questi progetti e a realizzarli, sempre aiutata ed affiancata dalla mia incredibile Elisabetta. Il set da cucito è composto da citrouille puntaspilli, piccolo fob per le forbici e una busta porta forbici, aghi, spilli... ricamata sia internamente che e esternamente.

Il Progetto NOEL invece è composto da due cuscini con cervi e fiocchi di neve e da diversi soggetti natalizi in abbinamento ai cuscini per creare decorazioni per l'albero o cuscinetti... Tutto ciò che la fantasia vi suggerirà! Per acquistare la rivista clikkate sull'immagine.

beh ve lo dico a fine post! Innanzitutto grazie a tutte le persone che hanno partecipato, sono davvero felicissima! Ad una ad una passerò in tutti i vostri blog, perchè se conosco molte voi, è anche vero che molte altre sono nuove amiche che desidero seguire!!!!

Martha Pollard 1811

This chart draws inspiration from an ancient sampler stitched by a young lady: Matha Pollard. She created these wonderful patterns in 1811, probably as a gift to her school friends. Martha Pollard attended Ackworth School from 1809 to 1811. The octagon medallion seems to have been particularly favoured by Quaker schools both in England and America. This chart is my way to celebrate this bicentenary: 1811 - 2011.

Questo schema trae ispirazione dall’ antico sampler di una giovane fanciulla: Martha Pollard. Ella creò questi disegni meravigliosi nel 1811, probabilmente come dono per le sue compagne di scuola. Martha Pollard era infatti una studentessa alla Ackworth School, e lo fu dal 1809 al 1811. La forma ottagonale dei medaglioni pare essere una delle forme preferite dalle scuole Quaker sia in Inghilterra che in America.

Ricreare i disegni di Martha è il mio omaggio a lei e a questa splendida arte in occasione del bicentenario della loro prima creazione: 1811 - 2011

This is how Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens begins... Like every year, I will dedicate a chart to this book, one of my favorite... This year just a gift to the title and to the snow which decorates this wonderful book. Three ornaments to embroider in a snowy morning which will also make music with their decorative bells.

Andando a memoria, è così che comincia uno dei libri più incantevoli che abbia mai letto: A Christmas Carol di Charles Dickens... Così, ogni anno dedicherò uno schema a questo libro... Quest'anno un dono al titolo e alla neve che caratterizza sia il libro che queste ultime candide giornate... Tre ornaments da ricamare in un pomeriggio di neve e da far risuonare come un 'canto di Natale' decorandoli con mille campanellini...

A little young deer rises his face and looks at the firs snowflake that is falling from the sky... Our friend will hide in the wood, in the deep magic wood where snow cannot fall. But now he is still, in the night, looking at the sky which is almost white. The first snowflake flies delicately, resting on the grass and becoming so candid.

E' nato il primo schema natalizio della Primitive Hare... si intitola The First Snowflake... Che ne dite? Ho cercate di racchiudere in pochi semplici punti la dolcezza della prima neve... che amiate o no l'inverno, non potrete negare il fascino indiscusso di una valle ricoperta di un candido manto di neve... Felice crocette!

Eh si... anche bomboniere... tempo fa una mia cliente mi chiese chiesto un tot di piccoli doni... le proposi così i cuori, che sono i thread keeper più piccoli che produco... poco dopo mi mandò queste foto che vi mostro e che mi fecero venire un'idea: creare bomboniere.... Probabilmente tutte siamo stufe di riempire le vetrinette di ninnoli inutili, e così ho ideato forme di legno da appendere, a mò di decorazioni, e da usare come bomboniere... e per i piccoli ? Beh... adorabili leprottini con canne che tintinnano al vento, orsetti accompagnati da piccoli campanelli.... e tutto ciò che potremo ideare insieme.... Intanto vi lascio con le foto di Monica, così avrete un'idea di come potrebbero essere belle le vostre bomboniere...
