Hello my friends, this are the new patterns I designed for Halloween... and one for Christmas (Christmas releases will be posted in october/november). I hope you love them.

Let me explain you one of my patterns: The Witch's game... do you remember the old game of paper dolls? Well... I thought we might play all together with... needle and thread.. at the same game.

This pattern includes the complete pattern , but also some extra elements you can use to stitch yourself as a witch: you can chose the dress, hat, skin tone, hair color.... and create a new pattern, just for you!

NEW HALLOWEEN PATTERNS - 1st part -

Hello sweeties!!! I've been so busy in these weeks! But finally it's time to show you the second and the third patterns of my Halloween collection. I'm particularly happy because this is the first time I take pictures in my new house :))))

The first one is SPOOKY COUNTDOWN. In this pattern you'll find 32 different charts. I finished them twice! Once I hanged them on a wooden pumpkin, sewing 32 separated mini pillows. Elisabetta stitched them on 30 ct Old Salem Linen. You could hang them on a lovely Halloween tree, using a branch :)

The second time I used a wooden tomb stone :)) Elisabetta stitched this second version on Old Massachusett 40 ct, using one whole cut. I love also this second one.....

The second pattern is a quick one! Just 2 DMC colors and few hours are needed to stitch my little wicked THE WITCH IS IN! A so cute pattern! You can stitch it in a couple of cold evenings and hang it on your front door :) It's perfect!!!!

New Releases: Triora Witches Trials & Lady Basket

ENGLISH (italian follow): Hi friends! Are you ready to start a new cross stitch year? Today I wanna tell you an ancient tale... It's not a fairy tales... it's a sad story about witches... All of us who love  stitch primitive patterns, love Salem's patterns... but also in Italy we have a 'Salem'. The name of the poor village was Triora, and one of the most powerful witch was Franchetta Borelli.

She was an old, rich, wise woman... She survived and she dead in 1595, on the 2nd of January. The story of the Triora Witches Trials is full of violence... Franchetta is famous because she has never admitted to be a witch, under torture she laughs... and she says: I grit my teeth...and they say I laugh! She was proud and strong. In those ancient days she was an example of intelligence and dignity ...

ITALIAN: Buongiorno amiche mie, pronte ad iniziare un nuovo anno di crocette? Io ho deciso di inaugurare quest'anno con uno schema dedicato ai processi per stregoneria che si tennero a Triora, in Liguria, dal 1587. Una delle "streghe" più potenti e vessate su Franchetta Borelli, la cui storia potete leggere qui (CLIK). Fu lei a pronunciare la frase che leggete nello schema, fu lei che invece di piangere davanti ai suoi carnefici rise. Li schernì. E sopravvisse, per morire vecchia e in pace il 2 gennaio del 1595. Lo schema contiene la frase sia in inglese che in italiano, così potrete decidere come ricamarla autonomamente. Buon anno, che sia pieno di crocette e di magia :-)

ITALIAN: Il secondo schema che vi propongo è invece una mezza novità... nel senso che venne portato a Vicenza ma tenuto in un angolino... Insomma, mai presentato ufficialmente, eccolo finalmente qui in tuto il suo splendore (spero eh...): LADY BASKET contiene lo schema e le istruuzioni per ricamare e poi assemblare un comodo cestino in lana cotta e un porta spilli. Trovo che il cestino sia particolarmente comodo.... che ne dite?

ENGLISH: Hallooooo, I put a spell on youuuuu, and now you're mineeeee... do you remember this song? It's one of the Hocus Pocus soundtracks: I LOVE IT! I have stitched and sang for hours (oh poor hubby...) and this is what I have created: a double pattern, sold together, dedicated to Halloween and to witches everywhere! Again: Happy Halloween pals!

E' una di quelle che compongono la colonna sonora del film Hocus Pocus, è bellissimoooo e lo adoro (anche se mi sento molto infantile quando lo guardo). Witchcraft = Salem Village. This is a common thought... I really love history and I'm so sad when I think at Salem and at those poor women... So I've created this chart: it's the exact reproduction of the real Rebecca Nurse House in Danvers, the Old Salem Village in 1692. This is my 'flower' on the grave, to honor her and all the victims oh human madness.
